This article is about all the different cultural attractions that you have to privilege of seeing when you visit Madagascar. The author lists many attractions that people probably didn't know about such as the Queen's Palace, called the Rova of Antananarivo which is beautiful. He also lists lots of other cool places to visit if you are ever there such as colonial era-houses with French influences, churches, and many palaces. It then talks about festivals and ceremonies that occur in Madagascar every year. After this it talks about the Cultural Tours that can be taken to see all of these things and finally it talks about the arts that you can see in the city there.
To me this article is very cool. It shows many great cultural landmarks in Madagascar. It also shows some of the traditions that people in Madagascar do and how it is tied back to their culture. It also shows how they celebrate all these things and where you would go to see all of them. In my opinion, it lists many options on things you could do if you ever go there and where to find these things. All and all, it was a great article.
I think that this article can be tied back to the culture in Madagascar in many ways. First of all, they list the Royal Hill of Ambohimanga which is sacred to Madagascar's people in the sense that it is a pilgrimage site where rituals have been performed for the past 500 years. In is considered the most significant symbol of the cultural identity of the people in Madagascar. This is just one of many cultural places mentioned in the article. It then mentions Festival and Ceremonies that are traditional such as the Hira Gasy which is cultural singing, dancing, and storytelling, and then about the Famadihana which is a feast that occurs every 7 years to celebrate ancestors. All in all, there are many different ways to celebrate Madagascar's culture that are mentioned in this fine article.
